Before proposing a solution, my team prioritized conducting user research to validate our initial ideas, gain deeper insights into the problem space, and identify the key challenges potential users face in accessing birth control and healthcare services.
Therefore, after completing a literature review, we developed a research plan focused on qualitative methods, aiming to conduct 10 interviews with women that are currently using a form of birth control and women who were planning to start using it in the near future.

Drawing from our research findings, we proposed a solution: An app offering personalized women’s health and contraception guidance through curated content tailored to the user’s needs and a safe space for open discussion and questions.
With this in mind, I mapped out an user flow and then moved on to sketching a low-fidelity prototype:

During the testing stage, I was more interested in getting insights on how users find information or interact with our quiz feature. However, I quickly realized that the layout of the homepage was causing confusion among participants, as they were unsure about what to select or where to navigate first.
